When Tim and I moved to the North Loop, we were both so excited for the amount of amazing restaurants we would be surrounded by, most within walking distance. Shortly after we moved, Kado No Mise opened it's doors. We had walked by multiple times and I had heard some buzz about some of the chefs/owners, so I was excited to try it out. A few of our friends and family tried it before us (even though its right in our back yard) and gave good, yet, underwhelming reviews....

Minnesota summers can’t be beat! People seem to come alive after the brutal Winter and fickle Spring and do everything in their power to soak up every last sunny day. Because of this I love to take mini “staycations” to fully embrace what our lovely state has to offer. For our 1st Anniversary, Tim and I spent the weekend in Wayzata. It was a perfect getaway from our busy lives in Minneapolis and felt like we were much farther away from home. We stayed at  Hotel Landing which just...

I think one of the best parts of living in Minneapolis is our ability to access cute little towns  in 20 minutes. Sometimes I love exploring a nearby Suburb and I recently took my husband on an exploration around Wayzata. Below are some of my favorite spots in the Downtown- And someday, maybe, we will be jumping off Lake Minnetonka and calling it home :) One new spot that I have yet to check out is Bellecour. I have heard incredible things about it and since it is the same Chef...

Masu is one our favorite places for Sushi in Minneapolis. It’s located in Northeast close by the Aveda Institute. This area is rapidly growing and is becoming one of my favorite parts of the city. We decided to have a spur of the moment date night to roll into the week right. My favorite thing about this place is their cocktail- double precious. It’s slightly bubbly, florally and refreshing all in one. It is a gin based drink which I normally don’t love, but this seriously might be...

Eat street (Nicollet Ave from roughly 23rd-28th) is a rapidly growing neighborhood in Minneapolis and home to many independently owned restaurants. There are so many options in one area the true challenge is getting to them all. I have not been to all of them (yet) but I do have a few favorites along the block. Here are some of my favorites. Cheers and Happy Exploring!   BRUNCH: Copper Hen Kitchen- This place oozes adorable. The blueberry and cornmeal pancakes were a table favorite, and the Bloody Mary with a Bacon...

Grab coffee and Minneapolis’ Best Cinnamon Roll at Isles Bun and Coffee. This cozy little shop cranks out some of the best cinnamon and caramel gooeyness known to Minnesotans. They are made daily right behind the counter and the smell billows down the block. Frosting lovers: you have met your match- There is a tub of frosting waiting for you at the creamer and stir sticks table that allows you to frost until your heart is content. On days that I am not as hungry (or have better...
