25 Apr Wayzata Wonderland- A trip out of the City
I think one of the best parts of living in Minneapolis is our ability to access cute little towns in 20 minutes. Sometimes I love exploring a nearby Suburb and I recently took my husband on an exploration around Wayzata.
Below are some of my favorite spots in the Downtown- And someday, maybe, we will be jumping off Lake Minnetonka and calling it home 🙂
CoV: With a patio right on Lake Minnetonka- it hardly feels like Minnesota. Sitting outside on a warm summer night might be one of the best parts about this spot. Their claim to fame is their Seafood and the Signature Jumbo Lump Crab Cake is by far my favorite on the menu. If you are headed out for dinner during the summer or weekends I would recommend reservations, but during the winter months it seems to die down a bit. ( as most of our State does)
6Smith: With gorgeous views of the lake and mini lobster roll sliders (OMG) what’s not to love about this. From what I could tell the lobster sliders were only during Happy Hour, but I’m not sure thats a bad thing.
We also got the stoner fries and and Tuna Poke and now I am dying to go back for dinner. The service was great, everyone was really friendly, and the Happy Hour drinks were a good deal. One thing I didn’t mention is they have $2 oysters on the half shell if thats your gig. Definitely try this place- I don’t know why I waited so long!
Crisp & Green: I have to hand it to these guys- they make salads and healthy bowls sound fun. I am so excited because they just put another location in the North Loop which is now 3 blocks away from our office. My favorite salad here is the Yacht Club, but I recently had a Fiesta Bowl which was really filling and flavorful. You can also create your own bowls- but usually when I do that, I end up with a weird flavor combo that seemed so much better in my head. Did I mention they have kombucha on tap?- Amazingg! This is by far the cutest quick service restaurant in town- totally Instagram worthy so props to them.
What are your favorite Downtowns to explore? Let me know!
